New Book with Novel Portrayal of Jesus Captures Girls’ Hearts
ST CHARLES, IL, April 29, 2020 – For girls who dream of kings, queens, and princesses in faraway lands, the iconic image of Jesus does not quite hold their interest. In her new book, “A Royal Mission,” Luisa Rodriguez steps away from that iconic image for that reason. Instead, she portrays Jesus as a regal and powerful King reminiscent of modern-day fairytales, but with the gospel message woven into the pages. It is a book that captures little girls’ hearts and helps them see Jesus for who He is, the King of kings.
In this children’s book, the reader has the chance to become part of the story. She is asked to insert her name into the pages of the book, making her the protagonist. She becomes a Princess who is sent on an important mission by her King. What could that mission be? What does the King expect from her? How challenging will it be? And who is this mysterious King? It is only at the end that the reader learns that the great King is Jesus himself.
This allegorical story, with striking illustrations, helps budding princesses understand their role and purpose in God’s overarching plan. It includes discussion questions to help girls make the connection between the story and the Biblical record.
Rodriguez will donate 50% of the earnings from this book to her favorite charitable organizations dedicated to helping the poor and the fight against human trafficking.
